President / Founder
Tom is the President / founder of Forsite Development Inc. and manages all aspects of the companies operations. Tom started Forsite in December 2004 with the idea that there was a significant supply of vacant corporate surplus industrial facilities throughout the Southeast that could be acquired aggressively and then repositioned. Tom's goal with Forsite was to bring a level of sophistication to this highly fragmented market and provide value for customers through creative and flexible deal structures.
Since starting Forsite, Tom has managed and procured the acquisition of over 3.8 million square feet of space throughout the Carolinas. Under Tom’s direction, Forsite has also expanded their focus on build-to suit projects. Two notable recent projects include the 75,000 SF North American Corporate Headquarters for Continental Tire and a 25,000 SF sales and operations center for Kennametal. Both of these projects were developed within business parks owned by The Springs Company.
Prior to starting Forsite, Tom was a ten year veteran and Senior Vice President of Development for Lauth Property Group. Lauth was a 560 person national real estate development firm headquartered in Indianapolis. Tom's primary focus during his employment was office and industrial build-to-suit projects throughout the United States.
In July of 2001, Tom moved to Charlotte to open Lauth's second regional office. In Charlotte, he was responsible for all build-to-suit, land development and construction activities that he and his team created in the Southeast.
Tom has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Finance from Ball State University.
